I was a star-struck 14 year old with a ponytail, door-knocker earrings and nikes

the first time I painted with the artist now known as Seus.

That was a while ago now, and while I may have lost the nikes and ponytail and he may have changed his name,

my feelings of reverential respect for this artist remain the same.

Naturally, I was thrilled to paint Seus for our final Sydney installment before I packed my bags for London.

My dear friend, ripping photographer and rad chick, Ellen Antico

brought her pint-sized camera and equally pint-sized self around to my semi dismantled studio to shoot this number.

Farewell for now Sydney.

This work was created for the last of the three consecutive 'etcc' group shows. 'etcc' is a Semi-Permanent side event curated by artist, Benjamine Reeve in which a group of selected artists are invited to interpret each other's work.

Artists participating in the final event, which takes place at Melbourne's 'Rancho Notorious' this week, were asked to select a piece from both the first show, in Sydney, and the second, in Melbourne.

I chose the work of iconic Sydney artist/legend, Numskull and Brisbane artist, Alice Lang's incredibly textural and colourful sculpture.

Immediately I was reminded of the Pixar film 'UP' and one my favorite episodes of Bugs Bunny,

'What's Opera Doc?'.

Our second featured Perth-based artist, Daek , is not only a local babe-magnet and tea enthusiast but also the founder of the infamous Last Chance Studios .

Last Chance pretty much dominates Perth representing most of P-towns raddest peeps including the likes of Creepy , Sean Morris , Ryan Boserio , Kid Zoom , Tim Rollin (Graffiti on Graffers #6), Elliot C. Strang (Our amazing photographer this issue) and of course our man of the moment, Daek himself.

One evening while drinking tea and listening to Hall and Oates at Last Chance we stripped Daek down to his long-johns and thanks to the brilliant talents of photographer Elliot C. Strang we were able to snap out this issue of Graffiti on Graffers.

As you will see, shit got sexy.

Upon arriving at Last Chance Studios in Perth I met Tim Rollin, a prolific local artist with an affinity for bird life.

MASTO X BRIDGE

For the first installment of Graff on Graffers I painted my good friend Masto. Masto aka Pheds One (Warfare Crew) grew up in the east of Sydney, spending a large portion of his time in Bondi. Over the years, Masto has painted countless pieces overseas and across Australia. After living in L.A for 18 months during '95 and '96, Masto returned to Sydney to meet the writers that now form 'Warfare', his distinctive style features a modern swing on classic shapes dedicated to the origins of graffiti.
